A crypto exchange is a market place where buying and selling of crypto currencies takes place. There are lots of crypto exchanges e.g
1. Binance
2. Huobi
3. Kucoin
4. Kraken
etc
If you are looking to make money by trading crypto currencies, you will have to register with one of the trusted exchanges. When you sign up in a crypto exchange, you will be given wallet for all the crypto currencies listed in that exchange. Like I said in the article I wrote earlier titled "what is crypto currency" not all coins are listed in a particular exchange. As coins gain value and acceptability they are accepted (listed) in certain markets places (exchanges).
